Light brown discharge/ Light cramps

Today i’m currently 5 days late on my period, not to long ago i went the bathroom and i had very light brown discharge (not bright red like a period) so out of curiosity i looked it up and it could be implantation but i don’t want to get my hopes high on it being pregnancy implantation. I was having back aches, very small waves of nausea and feeling twinges in my stomach but starting today vv light cramping. Is there anyone that has any opinions or advice that could help?!😣 i didn’t plan on testing until the 4th of july once i fully missed my period and was able to call my ob/gyn to ask for advice on what to do.
