1 cm dilated at 35 weeks!

I felt like my baby dropped last Sunday at 34 weeks 2 days! After i started having serious pelvic pain like it hurt to get up and go to the bathroom! Last night we went to labor and delivery for a labor check! I was dehydrated and apparently not eating enough which is why they think i was contracting! After fluids i was able to come home…..but my question is how long did you guys stay dilated before going into labor?

My first was born at 38+5 and i actively had contractions even tho it took over a day for me to get past .5 cm (i jumped to 6 cm after i got a shot for pain) and my second was born at 36+2 and he came in 12 hours. Other than the contractions yesterday i haven’t had any sense!
