Follicles growing too slow, is there hope?

Started off with only 10 follicles:5-R and 5-L

Day 5 of stims I got bad news that my follicles aren’t growing as fast as I’d hoped: Right side follicles were 9.2mm largest and the other 4 were 7mm-8mm. Left side the only measurable one was 5mm.

They brought me back sooner than they originally planned for another scan on Day 7 of stims, Right side leading follicle grew but only to 12.8mm. The rest were 11-10.5mm, they did find 3 more but they were still 8-9mm that they don’t expect to catch up fast enough. Left side was a bust, one was 8.2mm but the rest were still too small.

They started me on down regulation with Leuprolide the next day assuming that my leading follicle would reach 14mm I guess. I’m so nervous and hoping they know what their doing! They told me I need to stim an additional 2 days. Going back on Monday (7/14) for another scan.

They told me to expect realistically to get maybe 5 mature at retrieval. I’m so disappointed ☹️ we’re 100% paying out of pocket and were giving this one shot only.
