Escaped from an abusive relationship and need help

Hi ladies, a friend of mine recommended I try on here to see if anyone can help me… today was a hard day for me. My abusive girlfriend of 2 years was threatening my life and I had to call the cops and take my dog and as much of my belongings as I could and get out of there. Unfortunately I don’t have a car and don’t know a single person in Houston or in Texas at all and I’m now stranded at a hotel with everything I own… my dog is 10 pounds and an absolute angel. We’re both just so stressed and tired and confused and just desperately need some help and safety. I have a ride to get back home to the west coast next Saturday but I need somewhere to stay until then or I won’t be able to afford the ride back home… if anyone on here can help me please I would be more than grateful. I don’t know what to do
