Vanni for a girl?

So I’m not pregnant right now but since my first baby girl I have wanted to name her Vanni. Every time I’m pregnant with a girl I tell someone about the idea but they tell me to name her savanna then give her the nickname Vanni but I just can’t get myself to like the name savanna enough to do that. Would it be weird if I just name her Vanni?

My daughter has a daycare friend named Savannah. She can’t quite say it and calls her Nanna instead. I know that’s typically a version of grandma… but in still think it’s cute

Vanny is the name of the "bad guy" in a recent video game, so that's what it reminds me of. In that case, it was supposedly a shortening of Vanessa.
