Potty training?

How’s it going for everyone?? Today I just said screw it, stripped him down naked and he used the potty EVERY SINGLE TIME today! I was shocked! I’m now too scared to put on training pants..I don’t want to ruin it!

Yeah I did the same with my son once he got the concept I started using underwear only no pull ups no diapers. He is now telling us when he has to pee and he goes to poop on his own

Tinsley has zero interest. She’ll sit on the potty before bath time but that’s it. Never has gone She could care less if she’s in a dirty diaper. Ugh! Form personal experience with my first- I

Going good but what a process 😭We did the same and stripped her down naked while at home for a few weeks. She is fully potty trained at home and wears regular underwear and goes to the potty by herself when she needs to. We haven’t done to well yet with leaving the house or when we go out so we still put a pull up on her. I will say my daughter definitely prefers underwear to the “ training undies “ I think the training ones are too thick too her and remind her of wearing a diaper so she thinks it’s ok to pee in them🤦🏻‍♀️

We did the oh crap method last month and it’s been great! Now he’s started peeing or pooping his pants just out of boredom or to be difficult occasionally 🙄. Guess it’s a process

We tried a few months ago with my daughter and it didn’t go well so we stopped after a few days, she refused to go near the potty and wouldn’t drink anything and became such a miserable kid. We got a pull up on her and she soaked it in a few minutes and the change in her mood back to her usual self was almost immediate and the look of relief on her face broke my heart, she just wasn’t ready even though she was excited about it. Before we started she was peeing every night on the potty and occasionally during the day and she had started pooping on the potty too. I am having her brother at the end of august so we are waiting until closer to her birthday to try again. Now she uses the potty sometimes before or after her bath and will sometimes try during the day when I go but it is definitely based on her mood.

Mine doesn’t really tell us when he goes and goes like every 20 mins a little bit at a time. I wish he was ready. But we are doing a big move this month and it’s probably not a good time. We plan on doing the traditional method with him because he drinks a crap load of water and goes to daycare. So we will be putting him on the potty every hour until he gets the hang of it, I guess.

I was surprised how well my girl took to it too! I read the oh crap book and did the strip naked three weeks ago and she’s doing great since! I’m expecting #2 in 8 weeks and wasn’t sure if I should try before or after baby but decided to give it a go and am so glad I did!
I only had three days at home before she had to go back to daycare in pull-ups so I only did one day naked before moving to undies and dresses but she did so much better than expected.
