Xavier is the best spelling. Zavier is a nice alternative. It does have the X sound. It is Zay-vee-er. From reading your comments, if you don’t like duplicates in the family, then change the name altogether because, even with a different spelling, it will still be the same name.

How do you pronounce it? In England the normal spelling would be "Xavier" but the pronunciation sounds like "Zavier". I understand the Hispanic pronunciation is along the lines of "Havier" (that's the closest I can explain in written form). I've heard the pronunciation "Exavier" once or twice before, but only in American films/TV.
