What security cameras are you using?

We need to get security cameras for our doors and garage area, I’m not sure how it works. Do I just buy the cameras and is there a monthly fee or anything? What is everyone using? Figured today would be a good day to buy one since it’s prime day

I believe they usually have monthly fees even after you buy them. My house is cheap af though so honestly it's not worth it to me.

We have a ring doorbell and 2 cameras. Super easy to set up and no fees after unless you want to pay for the extra stuff. We love ours and don't pay anything.

My neighbors are my security cameras. I live in a small rural town of only 12,000 people. There isn't anything that happens in my neighborhood that everyone doesn't know about. My neighbors in front of me keep their garage open almost 24/7 since they're always working on trucks and my next door neighbor is a retired army colonel that is protective over any one that has children. He and his wife know I'm home alone eith the babies when my husband is at work and they watch out for us.

We also use ADT for home security, smoke and CO2 detection, front door and backyard cameras. There's an app on our phone to control everything from anywhere, including locking the front door and arming the house. ADT sends me text messages with updates, reminders to lock doors, when an alarm goes off and when the police are notified. This is a great service to have when you're not home.
We have two digital hub devices to control from inside the home. We hope to eventually connect our sprinkler system to the app. When we bought the house, we noticed that it was previously set up with older ADT security models, so we called the company up to subscribe and set us up with the latest system.
We actually have an appointment with ADT coming to our house tomorrow to replace the lock on our front door as it's been going offline lately. I'll probably ask them to look at the garage window as well, since that one sets off the alarm when it's windy. 😆 Overall, we are very happy with our service.
I grew up in a house where we just used keys to lock up. When I told my mom we were doing this, she asked me why? Unless (husband) grew up with it, she didn't think it was necessary. He did though and he wanted it.

We didn’t want to pay for a monthly subscription or have our footage saved in the cloud. So after lots of research, we went with Eufy and are so happy with our experience. We have 5 cameras, 1 doorbell camera and a homebase that display on 3 phones. There are lots of products, combinations and options. I highly recommend.
