Enemas
Edit: called my doc this morning and they encourage enemas for occasional use if you’re backed up. They’d rather that then have an impaction that requires surgery. Also here to say that enemas are painless and I didn’t cramp nearly as much as when taking a stimulant laxative (which was on the recommendation list). Also my baby is still very much intact and chilling!
Hey y’all I’m 9 weeks and was severely constipated. I tried miralax for a week plus suppositories until finally resorting to an enema. I’ve been backed up for 7 days, unfortunately I did all of this without even thinking about asking my doctor first. I know miralax is ok but I used fleet liquid glycerin suppositories (2 over a 3 day span) and then a fleet saline enema tonight. I’ve been panicking after reading that they can cause miscarriage in the first and third trimester. I need to know how worried I should be? Please send help
