Not your average labor story ( might help someone)

Sharing incase it helps someone .. starting at 20 weeks I was having strong Braxton Hicks constantly no matter how hydrated or how much rest. I was in and out of the hospital for small bleeds that never amounted to much. At 29 weeks I was contracting regularly and it was stopped by procardia. About a week later on the dot I was contracting again every night for hours. We went back to the hospital several times just to be sent home. They always said contractions needed to be more consistent. I went through the next 8 weeks with prodromal labor. Menstrual cramps, spotting, lower back pain, nausea, lightening crotch, insomnia, contractions.. week 36 felt different- more heavy like she was falling out. I asked to be checked and I was 2cm 60% effaced. Dr gave me another week. We were even discussing induction at 39 weeks. My history of endo and adeno were making me miserable. At 38w I kept getting pressure in bum- similar to when I had my son. I ended up going shopping and for a long walk. I put it off till the next day it felt little more intense but nothing super painful. I was still contracting but nothing regular. By 6pm I decide I’m going to ring my dr about the pressure, they advised me to come in. I sat by a bonfire, then I showered, brought my son to grandpas.. it’s now 8:30. Get up to L&D. She checks me - thinking I’m going home- she says “ 5 cm” 😳 looks like we’re having this baby! Everything moved fast after that. Contractions got stronger but still not regular. I decide to get in birthing tub around 11pm to manage pain. About an hour in the tub the contract were finally regular. I waddle back to the room in quite a deal of pain asking for meds. She checks me again “9cm”.. by the time the dr came in I was ready to push. She was born at 12:33! Just wanted to share all the prodromal labor led to a fast delivery and that they were actually working my body. Contractions don’t have to be consistent to dilate you! I honestly did not think I was in labor.
