When did you start telling ppl

Question

At what week did you start telling ppl your pregnant? 
I am 12 weeks and just about to go to my 2nd appointment this week. I told my parents but I want to tell the rest of my family and friends. I was just waiting as soon as possible for it to be safe. 
I have my friends bridal shower this upcoming weekend and I haven’t told my friends but my appointment is right before the shower and I am showing a little bump. I don’t want to go to the shower and be showing, should I just tell my friends this week before the shower. I don’t want to take away from my friends special day so I can’t announce it there. It needs to be before or after but I am showing so I’m thinking before. 
What would you do? 12 weeks too early?

I wait till 12 weeks to annouce a pregnancy. The reason is simple; first trimester has the highest chance of pregnancy complications, and in the event of loss I would be completely devastated and would need that time to myself without having to announce that to everyone else.

Told immediate family right away. For everyone else we decided if our 8 week ultrasound came out good we’d tell then, if something was off we’d wait. Everything was good so we announced officially at 8.5 weeks!

We told the grandparents as soon as we found out at 5 weeks and told all friends/family and announced on social media when we got home from our first ultrasound at 7 weeks 6 days.

With my daughter we didn't announce to family until 11 weeks and we told everyone else at 21 weeks. This time around we told everyone at 13 weeks. We had a surprise birthday party for my husband's uncle the following day so we decided to announce the night before
