Should I buy a new cup?

I bought a cup about 5 years ago. I have not used it probably around 3 years. I have it stored clean, wrapped in a napkin and in the original box. I do boil it every so often, like once or twice a year. It is clean, no visible tears and have never noticed any dust collected on it. I have been thinking about using it again but have been a little skeptical. Should I throw it away and buy a new one or do you think it’s safe to clean it again and use it???
