Elective induction due to gallstones?
Around 22 weeks I went to the hospital for stomach pain and was diagnosed with gallstones, they said there was nothing they can do until baby is born. With the exception of occasional stomach pain everything was fine until around 35 weeks, the gallstones started causing horrible pain again, i went to the hospital and was once again told there was nothing they could do. Now im 37 weeks and 5 days and the pain gets worse every day. I can hardly find anything i can eat anymore because on top of the gallbladder pain i have AWFUL acid reflux, if there’s something that doesn’t hurt my gallbladder, it gives me acid reflux, vice versa. The pain is insufferable and it’s getting worse but since the baby seems okay my doctor doesn’t seem concerned at all. Would this be a valid reason to request an induction at 39 weeks? Do they even induce for that type of thing? I really would love for the baby to stay in as long as she needs, but besides my own pain i worry that the baby won’t be getting proper nutrients if I’m not able to eat.
