When did you transition oldest out of crib?

Our daughter will be 18 mo old when sister arrives! Wondering when we should transition her out of the crib and into a toddler bed. We’ll have baby with us in bassinet for first month or so but want to move her into nursery sooner than later. What’s your stories?

My son switched at 2.5. I would’ve waited until at least 3 but my husband converted his crib without telling me so there was no walking that back. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Like 3.5. All my kids stopped napping post crib. It was well worth it to me to have 2 cribs.

My daughter is 18m but we’re waiting until she tries to climb out of her crib before we move her to a bed.

When she was almost 3 years old.
She stayed in her crib because she didn't crawl out and she likes what's well known.
We switched before 3 only due to me getting pregnant and husband being disabled meaning we would struggle to lift her out of the crib.

My first I transitioned her to a floor bed that she absolutely loved at about 14ish months. And she started putting herself to bed shortly after that. 
My second is still sleeping with me 😒 won’t even touch her bed lol

We transferred our son into a toddler bed as soon as he started standing up and walking because he would try climb the side of the cot which is unsafe so for safety precautions we transferred him into his own toddler bed
