3m old, nursing enough?

Question

My baby used to eat 15 minutes each side and recently he only wants to eat 10 min max on one side and maybe 5 on the other. Is this normal? Is he getting enough milk? Will my supply go down?

If baby is having enough wet diapers in a day then baby is eating enough.

As the other commenter said don’t worry about the timing! As babies get older they get more efficient at nursing so they get faster. If they’re gaining appropriately and keeping up their wet and dirty diapers then they are fine.

As long as baby is doing at least 6 wet nappies/diapers in 24 hours then they're getting enough. Usually they get more efficient at emptying the breast so the time reduces. My girl used to take 45-60 mins for a feed, but now takes 15-20. She's still gaining weight and providing me with plenty of wet and dirty nappies.
