The first time I was in labor and delivery I was there all night Saturday night from 11pm to 9 am on Sunday and they were great. I lost a lot of bloody mucus on Saturday morning and started having severe cramping and contractions. They ran a fetal fibronectin test since I’m only 34 weeks, which came back positive. I was having consistent contractions between 2 to 4 minutes apart. They gave me medication to slow down with contractions but that didn’t help but I was not dilating past 2 cm so my OB said I could go home And labor more at home and come back in if I had any concerns. I called my OB today because I had bright red blood when I wiped so my OB had me come in and get checked out in office. He decided I should go to labor and delivery to be monitored further. Labor and delivery acted like I was over reacting to everything even though I was still having consistent contractions. My OB requested they check my cervix again for more dilation before I left and it was long as I wasn’t dilating any further I could go home. The nurse comes in to check me and states I was still the same but she had my discharge paperwork in hand and said that she already had it filled out and completed before even checking my cervix for any further dilation. I asked if I could have a swab done just make sure my water didn’t break because I was pretty wet and she told me that it was probably the lubrication from where my OB checked my cervix and I was fine and didn’t need to be checked if my water broke even though I had a puddle of fluid on the sheet. I’m just very upset that they practically shoved me out the door..
