Did your Group B strep test hurt??

Mine did!! Is that normal?? I felt like sharp shooting pains. Like a million needles hurting me at the same time.

Are you sure it was just the group b strep and they didn’t sweep your membranes while they did it. It’s definitely not normal for that pain when it should barely be inserted

Definitely not normal. It's a tiny piece of cotton inserted half an inch, so weird that it would feel like that. Barely even felt mine at all.

Havent done mine yet but the last time I swabbed myself so def didnt hurt!

If you have an internal yeast infection your skin can be torn easily and a swab could definitely scratch you! I had a yeast infection with my first GBS and the swab did hurt! I did not have yeast or pain with my second GBS test. Also if you were really dry the swab would have hurt too.

No. Barely felt it at all.

Wow, I barely felt mine at all. Literally. They just swabbed really quickly in the opening, not like stabbing in there.
