Is he flirting?

This is the text conversation we just had:

Me: what’s been going on with you?

Him: not much, the girl I went on a date with last week told me she wasn’t really feeling it, so I’ve just been on tinder a bit lol

Me: aw I’m sorry to hear that, I guess better to not waste your time though. You deserve someone who sees how fantastic you are! <3

Him: it’s all good, I just appreciate her not ghosting me, the bar is low I suppose. Thank you. <3

Me: that’s true, could always be worse!

Him: it’s fine, I’m just sexually frustrated but I have zero energy so it’s a rough time hahaha

Seriously asking, does it seem like he is hinting at something with me, or is he just ranting to me as a friend?

I have Asperger’s so I REALLY have trouble reading between the lines sometimes lol, and I don’t have anyone I can ask about this because long story short, the situation is a little sticky. This is a guy who I’ve been friends with for 7 years, we made out a few times when we first met… we almost dated but circumstantially it didn’t work out and now we’ve just been friends for this long.

I really HOPE he’s flirting with me, I’m absolutely crazy about this guy and would love to start something up with him, but I also don’t want to read him wrong and risk screwing up our friendship!
