Any moms had a jaw surgery after giving birth? How soon after giving birth did you do it?

Question

I’m 5 months in braces and planned to have a double jaw surgery in 4 more months ( Nov 2022) but found out I’m pregnant recently. My baby is due end of Mar 2023.
How soon after giving birth did you do it?
Did your orthodontist charge you any more costs for extending the brace plan? I had to pay $8k out of pocket upfront for these braces and don’t really want to pay any additional :))

I'm not in the US so it may be different from you. 
In 2013 I was meant to have my jaw surgery in January, I got pregnant in November,so they cancelled it. They wanted me to be done with breastfeeding before I had the surgery. I ended up having my surgery three days after my daughter's first birthday. 
I ended up paying more, however my costs weren't nearly as high as yours as I lived in Germany and my insurance covered most of it. I paid 3000 Euros in total. 800 were for the private hospital I went too, as my insurance didn't cover all of their expenses due to being private, but they covered most of it. And the rest was for 4 years of permanent braces plus two years of loose braces.
Having it done with a one year old was manageable..I couldn't imagine doing the surgery with a baby. I had to stay in hospital for a few nights after the surgery and after that had very little energy and very very low blood pressure. (Although I have a heart issue with requires me to take beta blockers, which unfortunately lower my already low ish blood pressure even more. So when I'm sick or have surgery my blood pressure just can't keep up).
Give yourself time to heal from labour and birth and wait until baby sleeps better so you can actually recover from the surgery as well.
