Anyone hiding the "good toys" for certain visitors?

are you hiding certain toys from (certain) visitors?
like we have really good friends that visit us often but their kids are animals 🤣 lovely, but caution level ZERO. We hide the good stuff from them.
But sometimes new or favorite toys also are put away when we have visitors over just to avoid damage, loss and drama 😅

I’m embarrassed by how long it took me to realize you meant actual toys and not, um…”toys”🙃 
We don’t have any other children at our house but when we do go somewhere and I pack toys for my son, I pack toys that he wouldn’t be too upset over losing just in case.

We have toys in the living room that everyone can share and the toys in my daughter's room is for her to decide if she wants to share. But we do have smaller kids in the family so sometimes we hide smaller and unsafe toys in advance. But that's it 😊

We rarely have other kids over but there’s one little boy that is so destructive that we hide ALL hard toys. Luckily anytime he’s at our home it’s usually a quick visit so we just hide everything in our bedroom and keep the door closed. Our son is slightly rough with his toys but he doesn’t damage walls or tvs with the toys unlike the other little boy.

Only when we go to my husbands grandmothers house and all his aunties and uncles and cousins  are there with all their little kids… there are certain kids I keep my sons stash of toys from or if my son comes with his own toys we keep them in the car until these naughty kids leave

I give my kids 5 to 10 minutes to pick out anything that they don't want to share befor somebody comes and a bucket that it all has to fit in and those are the toys that they're not going to share and everything else they have to share.

I always tell my kids, if it’s not something they want other to play with or to get messed up/damaged, then they don’t need to bring them out.

If I had other children visiting I absolutely would set a boundary to certain toys that are special to my child. I would probably have a container of safe toys to allow visiting children to play with.

Nope. I don't hide "good toys".
But I do sometimes hide the box of blocks. Or if really small kids come, I out legos away. Just because they toss them on the floor and noone can move etc... So when some certain kids visit, I leave out less larger toys not a lot of small toys.

No. Only if a kid was intentionally breaking toys or on the cusp of hurting themselves/others with it. All kids play differently. My son is rough with his toys but he isn’t being “bad” he’s usually just pretend playing. So I’m not going to hide things from other kids, I get it 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I can’t say the I’ve been in that situation where I felt I needed to. My kids have so many toys, let them break a few and give us back to space… 😬
