Induction due to size?

Hi ladies… had a growth estimate scan. They’re saying that my baby is over 8 lbs already. His head is measuring at 42 weeks. I don’t see my Dr until early next week. Has anyone been induced early due to size?

Not a personal experience but I do know a handful of women who have been induced due to size and when baby is born they were a pound or more under the estimate (all under 8 pounds). Because they’re exactly that, an educated guess that can be inaccurate. 
My 32 week scan, they estimated baby is in the 76th percentile so we’ll see what they say at the next appointment. I’m not too keen on induction based on size alone. 
It’s ultimately up to you to get the relevant information and make a decision that you’re comfortable with  :)

I did and what was supposed to be a 9lb plus baby was only 6lbs 5oz and that made me really disappointed in myself. I’ll never do that again.

I've been offered an induction at 38 weeks due to size. My baby was estimated 6lb 15 at 34 weeks. I've got another scan at 37 weeks to check the size and then decide if I want an induction at 38 weeks or leave things to happen naturally. The baby is well over 100th centile so they have advised induction. I think I'm ready now anyway for baby to come out 🙈

July 21st my son was measuring estimated weight was 5lbs 4oz that was almost 4 weeks ago and his head measurement was at the 98th percentile. We are estimating his weight to be 7lbs 5oz this next Thursday. If his head measurements keep going up we will have to induce. I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow

I was induced at 38 weeks with my first he weighed 9lbs 9.6oz.

I got induced with my first at 38w5d because of gestational diabetes and the risk for size. I think at my growth scans at the time I was measuring at least a week ahead. I don’t recall if a weight was estimated. 
She was born a very normal 7lbs 2oz.

I’m hoping not, I’m measuring 95% percentile. I don’t want to be unless really necessary. At 36 week scan baby was estimated to be 7lb 4oz. How far along we’re you at your scan?
