Delivered at 36+4

Well this rollercoaster of a pregnancy finally concluded and was just as wild as it had been the whole way.

I was due 9/6, but started losing my mucus plug last Sunday. Last night, my water broke at 11 pm and Leo was born at 1:41. I went from being dilated 2-3cm to 10 cm in 10 contractions. They were prepping me for an emergency c-section because his heart was dropping with each contraction but in the OR room RIGHT after they got the epidural placed and before I went numb I had a contraction and said I needed to push.

Doctors checked me and were surprised to see I was at 10 and said let’s push and 3 pushes later he was born! He was whisked to the NICU right away due to previous heart conditions (STV) but what a whirlwind! I was a minute away from getting a c-section.

Born 7 lbs 5 oz and 20.5 inches.
