Due Sept.2 - Born July.8 gestational baby
My first son was born the day after his daddy’s birthday! I ended up having gestational diabetes but besides watching my blood sugars, everything was normal and amazing. I didn’t have morning sickness 🙏
HERES THE STORY:
I was 32 weeks prego and been telling myself to recognize the difference between peeing and my water breaking. My son ‘Aukai was pretty low so everytime I needed to use the restroom, I had to lift my belly to even get the pee out 😂😂
Anyways, i woke up to pee -like I do every two hours- @ 3am the morning of July 8th and afterwards, I had gotten thirsty. So, I went to the kitchen to get some water 🙃 and I had what felt like a gush from a period when you stand after sitting for a bit. So I went back to the toilet and sure enough I was “peeing”. Now I may be tired, but I noticed I DID NOT lift my belly 🫢. Woke my other half up and told him what happened (yes I am standing there bottomless cause I “peed” my pants). He was half awake but told me I should call my mom, in which I did. It’s now 3:15am and she basically says I should probably go in to the ER just in case (of course after asking me if I feel any feeling like my body wants to poop on it’s own basically-answer: not at all-no pain or pressure. We get to the hospital and it’s about 5am. Checked in and waited a few moments. They work me up to see if my water completely broke or what’s going on. I’m 4 1/2 dilated! So they admit me and bring me up. I start to get contractions slowly by slowly. Now, it’s about 10am and I’m still dilated the das , contractions got worst but nothing I couldn’t handle. What I could t handle was when my son decided he wanted to come out faster than my body was making way for him. He pushed in my walls, and my hips started to pinch my spine. That pain, I could NOT take. So we ordered epidural which couldn’t get to me until 12pm because it was just supplier busy that time in which I was still 4 1/2 dilated. Because I am now on the life saver, they tell me to let them know if I feel pressure like I need to poo, in which an hour later about 1:15pm I do. They check me and I am now 9cm dilated. They call the team and prep me. Waited for me to reach 10 of course which I was @2:35pm. So, everyone’s prepped and doc says to push. I do, for 20-25 minutes and my son was born @3:04pm. He had an underdeveloped lung and minimal jaundice - normal for a premie. But he came home a month later on Aug.9th ! Healthy. Strong and Handsome😍. Born @ 5.6oz, 17in tall. He is now 7.08oz, 19in tall 👏🏼💪🏼. Oh btw: his baby shower was Aug.6th 😂 just in time for him to come home to me. Also, because I couldn’t stay at the hospital while he was there, he ended up being used to the bottle nipple and my nips don’t go out as far as the dr.brown bottle nipples. It also made my lactation difficult because we didn’t have that physical connection for a month. He now is a high calorie formula-bottle fed baby, but He is my world !
