Is moving a 5 week old to his nursery a little too soon?

In my thought yes it is. It is HIGHLY recommended to keep baby in your room within the first year, 6m at minimum. It very much reduces the SIDS risk, and it’s just easier.

You’ll figure out what works for you, we did since day one and everyone slept so much better in separate spaces

It's not recommended and I wouldn't have been able to do it, wouldn't have been able to sleep with the anxiety of not being able to see him. Also it's a lot more inconvenient for night feeds.

I could never do that as it increases sid’s risks for sure in the first 6 months but keeping baby in your room for a year is recommended. I wouldn’t have been able to sleep with my small baby in a diff room from me. They lived inside our bodies for as long as they remember and you want to put them into a diff room all alone!? This is so sad to me.

I didn't move my son until 7 months I just couldn't do it. But now it was the best thing I could of done.

This is a no judgement questions but I always wondered what are the reasons people want to have the baby in their own room at an early age? Just very curious!

I just don't get why you'd want to have to get out of bed and walk to check on h/feed/change him multiple times a night, rather than just lean over

My 1st was in his room from day 1 and planning to do the same with number 2.
Do what you feel comfortable with, everyone  has differents opinions. 
There is not right or wrong time to do it, anytime is fine as long as YOU are happy and  comfortable with it ☺️
