Does motherhood get any easier?

I really want to know. Does this get easier? Would it get easier? While I am at it… How can I get a toddler to sit one place for more than 5 minutes? Sometimes I need a few minutes break but I can’t get it with a toddler jumping everywhere and I can’t leave him unattended

You should try to create a safe space for him so he can be crazy and you can take a couple minutes away. Play pen? Play yard with some toys? A little screen time so you can get some stuff done or take a breath?

It definately gets better! I've found things that keep my 2 year old still for a while. She loves to sit down with a snack and a book or colors. She also loves to stay still when I give ger something to "destroy." For example I have specific toys that can be taken apart, make a mess, and be put back together. I have egg for our oldest that when opened are colored and have the alphabet. If I need a few minutes to put her little sister down for a nap I'll give her something like that where she can safely make a mess. I also have a play room, will soon be turned into a library/school room/play room, that has a 6.6' x 6.8' play yard in it. I'll give her something to keep her busy and I'll zip up the play yard and go do what I need to. I've also taught independent play so my toddler is more than happy to play by herself if need be.

I've made my son's room safe and he goes into his room for quiet time every day (he doesn't nap anymore). I started this at 2 when he stopped napping, he's now 3. He does about an hour of solo play while I get a break.
