Sudden change of behavior in 3mo baby, feedings and crying

Coralie

Hi Moms,

My baby was doing great until 3 days ago…daycare called me because he threw up an entire 8oz bottle of formula… since that day his behavior completely changed (went to the pediatrician but he has not symptoms or fever)

I don’t know if it’s related or not but since that day he doesn’t want to eat more than 4oz while he was eating between 6-7 each time. And even to get him to drink these 4oz it’s a fight. He spends his time chewing on the nipple, but doesn’t really drink so it takes forever to get him finish the bottle. Also because of that he swallows ton of air and he already suffers from GERD and has a laryngomalacia that makes him choke and gaggle a lot during feedings. Even with his medicine his reflux and heartburn are really bad..

And cherry on the cake he cries when we remove the bottle but also cries if we give him back or even worse if we give him back he doesn’t want it and cries even more.

We put him on a schedule for his feeding 2 weeks ago. He was doing great, eating every 4 hours and 1 time per night. But now I don’t even know what to do anymore because since he doesn’t eat if I strictly follow the schedule he will only take 19oz per day… which is very little for his age I believe.

Also he keeps smiling and crying all the time, as if he didn’t know how to behave anymore, he can go from smiling to crying 10 times in a minute…

Does anyone have an idea of what could be going on here ? We are exhausted and we just want him to feel better.

Pic is just before when he was always smiling and happy 🥹
