Racist or not?

Is having a preference racist? Example: Only  dating whites and not black? Only dating black? Or example saying I would never date an Asian!

Saying I would never date a certain race.. just because of their race is fucked up.
I’ve only ever dated white dudes, just because that’s who I was attracted to. But I’m open to any kinda dude hahaha. I have a preference but I don’t say hell no to a certain type of race.

I think preferences are normal but I could never imagine saying "I would never date ___ men.". It just seems wrong. I can say I'm typically attracted to Black and Hispanic men without having to mention any other groups of people. It's just not necessary.

The results are wild. If you wot date someone BECAUSE they’re black, that’s 100% racist. You’re literally disregarding an entire race as a potential partner. If you won’t date someone and they are black, but that’s not the reason, that’s not racist

yes it’s racist. a preference based only off skin color or stereotypes associated with a race is racist and wrong. having a preference also means you PREFER one thing over the other but doesn’t mean you’re closed off to the other.

I don't feel that habing a preference is racist, but outright saying "I would never date (fill in the blank)" is borderline racist. I'm only attracted to white men. Can I see that men of other races are attractive? Absolutely, but I'm not attracted to them. It doesn't make me racist, but I would never come right out and say I would never date xyz.

People are allowed preferences when it comes to dating and attraction. I think wording matters. If I said “I am not attracted to Asians” or I’m not interested in dating Asians, that’s very different than “I hate Asians”. 
I personally only dated tall white guys most of my life. Doesn’t mean I am racist.

If it’s solely because they are that color or race, yes racist. 
If someone is saying I don’t date whatever color or race, it could be racist or it could not be. 
Like for instance I don’t date other races usually because of cultural differences. I have nothing against them & I even find some attractive but I would rather be with someone who was raised as I was or with similar backgrounds. It isn’t because of color or where they’re from. 
It depends on a lot. I’d rather just not judge people on their beliefs or whatever you want to call it. It is what it is I guess. Not saying it’s right but can’t exactly change peoples hardwired beliefs.

I could see how it could be but also how it  doesn't. I like l what I'm attracted too. And most of the time it's white men.
