I'm hoping it's not, but as lots of women wouldn't know they are pregnant at 5 weeks, the NHS only 'counts' from 6 weeks- due to the really high numbers of chemical pregnancies prior to this time.. I would make sure to look out for signs of etopic pregnancy to be safe as well

I m in the uk too, I would phone again tomorrow because you are calling again they may take you in, they did when I was miscarrying and I got a scan and bloods taken x

Unfortunately no one knows and it's too early for anyone to do anything to help. Bleeding isn't normal during pregnsncy but it doesn't always mean a miscarriage. You'll have to wait it out until the doctors will see you to confirm one way or the other. Just make sure to watch for super heavy bleeding  such as filling a super pad in two hours or less for two hours or more. You'll want to go to the ER as you could be bleeding too much
