Toe walking links to autism in toddlers ?

Is it true that toddler walks on their toe (on & off) a sign that they are autistic? Any parents with kids walking on toe on off & just a normal growing kids?

Plenty of typically developing children toe walk. Plenty of neurodivergent children toe walk. It’s not an indication of having autism in and of itself, but it can be if it’s paired with other signs.

Toe walking is seen in kids with autism or without autism. If that's the only thing you are seeing, it's most likely not autism and just a typical development for your child. 
If your child has other red flags for autism, then there might be a connection there. 
My child is currently being evaluated for autism. Sometimes he walks on his toes for a few steps, but the majority of the time he walks normally. He also has other signs that indicate autism... like sensory needs, speech delay, lack of socializing, hyperactivity, preference for strict routine, etc. My nephew walked on his toes all the time as a toddler (my SIL questioned autism for this reason alone) and he has no diagnosis. 
It's totally normal for parents to worry and question our kids' development. Always discuss concerns with your pediatrician. If you feel in your gut that something isn't right, advocate for your child. Follow your instincts and get the answers you are looking for!

Normal developmental thing! Unless they’re doing it the majority of the time for an extended period of time. I wouldn’t worry too much about it

My daughter used to walk on her toes sometimes, but I think she just liked that she could. It stopped after a while.

My eldest son is neurotypical and has always walked on his toes from being around 18 months old (he's 27 now!) The only time he doesn't is when he has footwear on or is on the beach.
