Am I wrong ?

I’ve had a good friend of mine who is a guy since I was 14/15 and now I’m 19 we’ve been friends all those years. I started dating my current bf last year around this time and these guys went to the same school actually. Fast forward, I had to leave my home country a couple months ago for college and I had to say goodbye to my brother who had a match at his school that day. I couldn’t get a hold of my brother but I saw on social media that my friend was with him and told him I had to come say goodbye to my brother. As my brother was playing his match I hung out with my friend watching the match waiting for it to end so I could say my goodbyes to my brother. Another guy I went to school with saw us and he went on to tell my bf that I cheated on him with my friend that day. I explained everything to him and he only believed me when one of his friends backed me up telling him he was actually with us the entire time and nothing happened.

My bf told me to stop talking to my friend and I did for two months bc I wanted the fire to die down. Now we’ve been talking again and my boyfriend really hates the idea of me still talking to him.

Now I don’t know am I wrong for still talking to my friend even after all that happened ?
