I just realized my bf is “secretive” of his phone. Anyone else bf is like this?

I just did the worst thing ever.

So my bf and I don’t go through eachothers phone but we share location on iPhone for safety purposes. We started doing that when he got into a horrible car crash.

This is silly but I have tik tok and a lot of content that pops up are like those couples doing trends and I’ve noticed the girls have easy access of their boyfriends phone. Like there’s videos of guys leaving their phones in the car while the girl waits in the car…. I just realized I cannot relate to that. Even my brother sometimes leaves his phone on the couch while his gf is sitting down watching movies. It’s just there but she’s not actively looking over it. It’s just the fact my brother feels comfortable enough to leave it there …

I know this is silly I’ve never had my bf leave his phone unattended. If that makes sense??? It’s always in his pocket or on the side of the drivers door. It’s not even in the middle compartment.

If he goes showers, he takes it with him. Like it’s never there where I can literally just walk by and see it? Where I’m getting with this is that when I shower I sometimes leave my phone on the bed. I know my bf won’t go through it but I feel comfortable enough to leave it there ….I really don’t know if I make sense. When we eat it’s in his pocket or facing down.

No I don’t want to have access to his phone but I find it weird it’s always with him????

Well one day I did go through it. I didn’t read text messages I just saw who he had texted and just his DMs. I didn’t see search history just apps he had ….. literally he was messaging his dad brothers and friends but I did not read through the conversations. There was nothing. I feel bad but I felt like he was hiding something tbh.

Today, as we were driving to go to the beach…he asked his brother to look on Yelp some reviews for some restaurant. He handed his phone to his brother but his brother had earphones so he didn’t hear. I put my hand out and said “here I can check” he snapped it off before I can even grab it and said “why do you wanna touch my phone?” I didn’t even grab it and he sorta rolled his eyes and said “who said you can touch it?”

Comon dude I didn’t even touch it I simply offered since his brother didn’t hear and my bf was driving …he snapped it away so fast …. I said “oh well sorry just give me the name of the place and I can check on my phone” the whole car ride was weird.

Idk what else can explain all this secretive behavior I have no clue ….. even to go to pee he has to have his phone with him.
