Could he be lying

I’ve been trying to meet up with a guy I’ve been dating for 2 months. We have super busy schedules, weekends are our best bet.

This has been ongoing for 3 weeks his sons grandpa won’t take his son the night before or morning of.

So, I’m like ok that’s ok, I understand.

So, this past Friday he texted me

I was hoping my dad was gonna take him, so we would have the morning together. But he’s not.

I said that’s ok, no worries. 🙂

Saturday morning rolls around

I messaged him at 11 am

I said Hey good morning, what’s up today?

He replied not bad my dad just picked my son up

WAIT WHAT?! I thought he couldn’t 🤔

So I texted

You wanna meet up somewhere or meet halfway somewhere?

8 mins went by

I said it’s ok if you’re busy and can’t 🙂

He responded I could I’d have to get a shower and everything

So we set up a place to meet, saw each other for 30 mins lol

Could he be lying and not really wanna see me? Based off not telling me his son was indeed picked up that morning and didn’t tell me or let me know

I’m starting to think he has never asked his dad…to watch his son. As he’s told me before his dad would take him anytime
