What does this look like?

I took my son to get checked because his finger has been red/swollen for 3 weeks to a month without any progress of getting better. The dr called it “erythema” I really don’t think it looks anything like that.

It could be Paronychia please go and get another opinion. Doctors don’t always get it right! That looks really painful poor bubba

Don't put neosporin on it it will eat away at the skin as it's too strong on little fingers. instead do salt in warm water soaks a few times a day and let it breathe. My son had this happen and he lost the nail but it grew back right away. Dr said it's cuz there hands touch all sorts of thing in a day plus nail bitting or just fingers in the mouth.

Put neosporin on it 3 or 4 times a day. Kerp it clean and dry when it doesnt have neosporin on it
