Can someone explain the old wives tale with heart rate. I understand high is girl lower is boy. But when? Like early on or throughout the whole time? I know some babies drop when you get further along. I would think when you’re early like 7 weeks but I have no clue lol

Your baby's heart rate is just a heart rate. Has nothing to do with gender.

It doesnt. Litterly has nothing to do with each other. Heartrate doesnt determine gender. It also doesnt reveal gender either

My boy had been between 140 and 176 the entire pregnancy (38 + 2 now). According to the wives tail I should have a girl. According to the doctor it means baby is more active and has a higher heartrate cuz he won't chill 🤷🏽‍♀️

Its not true at all. My girl was 144, boy goes between 144 and 166, depends what hes doing at that given moment

I find old wives tale to be so fun especially when you have to wait 20 weeks until you can find out. I know that they are assumptions but again THEY ARE FUN! I am happy with whatever sex I am given it just helps to pass the time by.

I don’t think C needs to “chill out”. I think it’s more important to debunk old wives tales that encourage people to make false guesses and assumptions about their babies, especially given how weirdly obsessed with gender some parents are. Nothing is definite until the baby is born, everything else is a guess. Unless you have invasive bloodwork done.

I was told the myth generally works if before 12weeks. Higher for girl lower for boy. My sons was 130 at 5weeks , my daughter 150 at 6 weeks so technically right for me.

Thank you lol that’s what I was wondering! I know it isn’t “true” but when you still have a while before the anatomy scan it’s just fun to do these old wives tales!!

The wives tale is a heart rate above 140 is a girl and below is a boy I believe. And it’s throughout pregnancy I think. But it’s just a wives tale and many people have healthy baby boys with heart rates of way over 140 lol

I know my son was 172 but I’m pregnant again and had an early ultrasound and the heart rate was 161 at 7 weeks so I was just curious! :)

I also understand that it’s a wives tale for a reason and isn’t always true.
