I am currently 37 weeks, my baby girl is breech and my OB wants me to come in next week and get an ECV done. This is my fourth and final baby and with any of my other kids, I’ve never made it past 38 weeks. My question is once they flip the baby, would it be a possibility for my OB to pop my water and I could deliver within the same day or by the next day? That way the baby wouldn’t have the opportunity to flip back to a breech position due to lack of amniotic fluid and it wouldn’t feel like a wasted procedure if she did happen to flip back or would that put too much stress on the baby?
