Pcos, reg periods, letrozole, where are the bfps?

Samantha

Hi ladies! I'm on my 3rd IUI cycle, well probably no IUI this month because its CD16 and no dominant follicle. But the nurses/doc are thinking i have pcos. They've suspected it for a while on account of the large amount of mini follies each month but my periods are always regular (28-30 days) and the past 2 iui cycles I've had a dominant follicle emerge plus good estrogen levels.

My first iui was natural and the 2nd i took 2.5 mg of letrozole. The follicle outcome with the letrozole was the same as the natural cycle. 1 dom around 18-19mm. Lh was low but we did the ovidrel trigger shot so they didn't wait for it to rise. Iui was 36 hours later and dh's sperm is good. This cycle i took the same 2.5mg letrozole with no response. Well no response so far.

Anyways what i want to know is how many of you were diagnosed with pcos while undergoing your fertility treatment with regular periods and got a bfp? And what was your treatment work up that led to the bfp?

Reason for only asking for reg period responses is because it seems pcos main side effect is irregular periods but i don't have irregular periods so it's an obstacle i don't have to overcome and i want to know if women with reg periods were able to suspect an underlying cause for producing multiple immature follies and maybe a "dominant" follicle, then "ovulate" regularly, have their period on time.. yet not get pregnant. I'm still learning about pcos but unfortunately women's Healthcare isn't where it should be.
