I know it’s a lot pricier but if you had a few family members who wanted to contribute to one larger gift together (like grandparents or god parents etc) this is worth it imo. I live in a town that’s got “charm” aka old uneven sidewalks and historical areas that are a little rough. But there’s also lots of parks and walking paths and our stroller takes it no problem. Gravel, bumpy sidewalk, curbs, dirt roads, bike paths, whatever is no problem. Bassinet is awesome for my son because he’s only 5 weeks old so this helps put him to sleep on a walk super easily. Really light to push, great storage, sturdy breaks that are easy to use and know they’re on. All around 10/10 system in my opinion and I looked at quite a few

I wouldn’t get a Doona. It’s like $600 and you still will have to shell out another $200- 300 for another stroller when your child outgrows the infant car seat AND another $200-$300 for a convertible car seat.

I have this in Finn I also always wanted a doona but didn’t end up getting one till my baby was around 8 months old cuz I needed to get to appointments with him
I used to bring a car seat and my big carriage but it was to much to shlep I’m Ubers so got a doona made life so much easier I’m glad I got a doona cuz I can use it for future kids even after it expires u can use it as a carriage and not a car seat

Had to recommend something in order to post....
The doona is good for convenience, but if it will be your only stroller, do not get it. Babies should not be placed in a carseat for a long period of time, especially when they're infants. Your best bet is to get a travel system that has a bassinet, so like your option 2

My mom kept pushing to get me the Doona since it was her first grandchild and she was excited but I couldn't justify it. Don't get me wrong it's a cool utensil but I'm so frugal (even though she offered to buy it)
My son pretty much outgrew his infant seat at 1 year (he turned 1 on August 30th and is in 2T clothing because of his height). You never know how quickly your child is going to grow and you may have to shell out all that extra money for carseat/stroller earlier than expected.
I have the graco modes Pramette and I have to say this was the BEST. I enjoyed the fact that the infant seat connect directly to the frame and you don't have to have the seat in. Makes traveling easier and lighter since I didn't need all the other stuff until he got older. My sister got a Graco where the infant seat snapped to the stroller seat and she said it was a lot to lug around for just using the infant seat and not the stroller seat yet.
As an added bonus, all the graco click connect fit together so we bought an extra seat for our friends car and had no problem switching between the two since they both clicked into the stroller frame.

I would go with a high quality stroller that you can use from birth (with a bassinet or a seat that can be used from birth) and then buy a car seat separate. Remember that it’s best not have baby in a car seat unless they are traveling in the car, so travel systems aren’t the best option. You would perhaps consider a convertible seat that can be used from birth. Depending on your kid, they will grow out of the doona in a hot minute.
