How long from losing your mucous plug did you give birth?

Question

I went to the OB yesterday and was 2cm dilated (I know this can stay the same for weeks) and 60% effaced. She did a membrane sweep and since then I’ve been having a few (2-3) contractions each hour since last night (which I think is pre-labour?). This morning I lost my mucous plug. 
I’m a FTM, so I really have nothing to compare it to. And feel free to comment as well :)

I only lost mine when I was actually in labor already.

Update: I had the bloody show 9 hours later, then contractions started and came fast and furious. Baby was out in 8.75 hours from first contraction, born this morning, less than 24 hours after losing the mucous plug ❤️

you can lose your mucus plug but it regenerates so it won’t tell when labor is near

I lose pieces throughout my whole pregnancy. It regenerates. 
In fact, I had a rescue cerclage placed and had to stay on my back for 4 days straight to hopefully encourage my body to rebuild a whole mucus plug over my stitches! 
Losing the mucus plug alone means nothing in regards to labor. 
Bloody show, consistent contractions, and water breaking are signs of labor! It’ll happen before should know it mama!

I started loosing like around 36 weeks this pregnancy and the last. I just kept loosing it till closer to my due date

I started losing mine at 36 weeks, but I had to be induced at almost 42 week.

I lost my bloody show about 24 hours or less before my water started leaking, is it just mucus or is there a little blood mixed in?
