Positive induction stories??

Question

I have Gestational diabetes. Completely controlled numbers with a low dose of metformin. However, my dr is still inducing me @ 39w. 
can you share your induction stories! 🥲🥲🥲

I’ve been induced twice. No medical reasons. 
Both times went great.
Went in a few cm dilated each time so I wasn’t starting totally from zero.
Got pitocin and an epidural, went great. 
No complaints 🤷🏻‍♀️
I would do it again.

I was scared of induction because I have always heard people say "pitocin contractions are worse" but I loved my induction.  It was so smooth. I was much more calm and collected during it than my first natural labor. I went in at 6 pm at only about 1-2 cm, and had baby by 8 am the next morning.

induced at 39 w exactly, my advice is do everything you can a week or two before to get your body ready for labor, sex, yoga ball, LOTS of walking (especially on uneven surfaces, like one foot on the road and one on the curb), pumping/nipple stimulation etc. 
I went in at 4cm dilated, almost 100% effaced, baby was very low, got there at 5am, started pitocin at around 7, had baby at 11:12am, so I was only in labor for about 4 hours and pushed him out in 15 minutes. super super easy, I’m getting induced with my next too, I got my epidural after my contractions really started and fell asleep, they woke me up to push😂 I probably wouldn’t have done it if I didn’t think my body was ready though

I had PIH and was induced @ 37w. It was 23.5 hours start to finish. I was not dilated or effaced at all. We did cytotec, pitocin, Foley. They broke my waters after the balloon came out. I got my epidural shortly after that and had my son ~6 hours after my waters were broken. Good things to take: snacks, gum and flavored drinks. 
Foley was a bitch, but manageable. I had to have some pain meds to get through the contractions. They also made my BP climb (which is mainly why I opted for the meds initially). I was able to move freely until the epidural was placed, then I used a peanut ball and moved in bed a lot lol. Overall, great experience. Nurses were wonderful. I took stuff to do, too. Movies, games, etc. But I knew it could be awhile because I was earlier. 
In terms of things to do, perineal massage is the only thing I'd really recommend. Yoga ball is nice. I've heard great things about Spining Babies, too. Sometimes these things work, sometimes they don't.

I’ve been induced twice at 39 weeks electively and am doing it again this time. I have no complaints. I didn’t find pitocin induced contractions to be excruciating (granted I don’t have anything to compare it to) and my labors lasted 17 hours and 15 hours. I only went in dilated to a one both times. As the other person said do everything you can to get your body as ready as possible beforehand. Bounce on a labor ball, try the miles circuit, drink red raspberry leaf tea every day, take evening primrose oil.

I've been induced twice. One was considered an "emergency induction" and the other was elected. Both went great for me personally. Went in 4cm dialated for both and 80% with first and 60% with second. With my first they started the pitocin at 6pm, broke my water at 8pm, and I had her at 8:28pm. With my second they started pitocin at 8am and forgot to up it until 10am (the low dose did absolutely nothing to start labor), then my water broke on it's own at 11:38am, and she was born at 12:04pm. It didn't feel any worse or better than when I had my son (no induction). I have precipitous labor though so none of mine have lasted more than a couple of hours. Active labor was 43m for my son, 28min for my first daughter, and 26min for my last.
