Does this mean labor is soon?

I’m 38w6d today, I’m due in 8 days and baby is weighing 7lbs14oz, I’ve been losing pieces of my mucus plug for the last 2 days now religiously.
Everytime I wipe, it’s there. In my panties? It’s there.

Just some mucus plug. Labor could be today or 4 weeks from now!

There’s no blood yet so unfortunately it could still be weeks. It’s a good sign you’re body is getting ready but maybe not as close as you hopped! Best of luck! Hope that baby doesn’t make you wait too much longer.

It could be starting now or take weeks. With my first loosing my mucus plug (no blood in it) was my sign of labor. I lost it over 1 day and by that evening I was starting labor. I had my baby the next night. 
I didn’t lose my mucus plug with my second or third early, so my guess is it came out when water broke during labor.
