Baby shower alternatives?

I’m rather introverted and don’t like being the centre of attention. Not going to lie, we need the gifts and it would be nice to celebrate. But what else can I do besides the traditional baby shower? Due in February

You could do a “display shower”. Everybody brings their gifts unwrapped and puts them out on display so you don’t have to open anything in front of a crowd.

We do coed baby parties for this exact reason. I don't want to be the focus at all. We don't do the games like toilet paper belly measure or anything like that. It's much less pressure on me and everyone just hangs out and drinks beer together like a backyard BBQ type deal. My good friend is planning mine this time and it's 'nightmare before Christmas' themed so like a Halloween party! I'm so excited lol

You can just send everyone a registry or make it a post of social media stating  you won’t be having a baby shower if they want to. You’d be surprised how many people wouldn’t mind. I had someone reach out to me asking if I had a registry.

I went out for lunch with a small group of close friends and family as I didn’t want a big deal made and I hate the being the centre of attention. 
I never asked for any gifts, just for us all to go out and enjoy ourselves. Was a bonus when I got a few gifts, which I opened while everyone was busy talking so it wasn’t all eyes on me!

I’ve seen it becoming more popular to not even open the gifts in front of everyone & just open them by yourselves at home!
