Potty trained?

I can’t get my kid to use the big boy potty for the life of me. He FINALLY went but he won’t tell me when he needs to go or goes before or after(in between) the times I try to take him to the potty instead. He isn’t scared of it anymore and he understands he needs to go there but he’s choosing the diaper. Any suggestions?

We're struggling too, my son will occasionally use it. We've done the whole naked thing and such but he'll always just go on the floor or make a huge fuss about. He does go to daycare full time so it makes it hard. He would sit in a full poopy diaper all day and not even care🥴

We had to talk through it a lot. We let him choose some big boy underwear. We would try underwear for just a few hours at a time at first. 
The other day, I finally decided that I needed to just prep him for the transition. We talked the night before and so far he is doing great - it’s been a couple weeks. He still wears a diaper at night and probably will for a while.

We did Big Little Feelings potty training course. $35 and it’s videos so easy to watch and understand…. Highly recommend! No joke my toddler had  only 3 pee accidents and has never had a poop accident 🙌🏻

We did the naked method because it was the only thing that worked at night or when we go places she wears a pull up sometimes at night she wakes up letting us know she has to potty but not always

My son is for pooping but not for peeing. He always lets us know when he needs to poop on the potty.
He's started to let us know when he needs to pee, but it's hit and miss and we're about to go on a 2 week vacay so weren't pushing it too hard yet.

We started at 1.5 years as he showed interested to pee like mama and dada. So before bath I put him standing on toilet or in bathtub and he peed, he was so excited about it. Then before he turned 2 I bought him amazing potty that has flashing sounds and you can like “flash it”. He loved the potty and just wanted to sit on it all the time. Later I bribed him with some healthy type of candies for each pee pee in the potty and again he loved the idea (as he otherwise would not get those candies). He was still using diapers but I would remove it before he goes potty. Also loved making Nr. 2 but here he always asks for “privacy@.. says he needs privacy and we should leave. He calls when ready. Then after few weeks he stopped wearing diapers during day.. he loved the idea peeing in public toilet or on the tree. Kept yelling “Let’s go to public toilet!” all the time when we were out. I did not scold him for pee in pants. Never yelling or scolding.
And he still sometimes pee his pants when excited and busy playing, but it’s normal.
He turned 3 recently so we stopped using night diapers, as well. I just make sure he doesn’t drinks lots before bed and he holds it in all night. 
Before that he was always proud that his night diaper has yellow line (no blue/no pee).
