Does it really mean anything if your pregnancy lines don’t get darker?

Some people like to compare test and I thought as long as it’s still faint or Positive your still pregnant

So test lines are funny. Not in a haha way but in a strange way. If the lines are getting lighter and lighter until negative, its a loss. But now with positives. They can stay the same shade for weeks. It's still positive. They can get darker over the weeks. It's still positive. Buuuut as someone who experienced a chemical my first pregnancy (where my lines got lighter and lighter until the bleeding started) and I tested once a week every week until my first ultrasound with my daughter (lines never got darker, just stayed the same. She's 4 now), and then subsequently tested once a week every week until my ultrasound with my third (lines got darker and darker every week until 9 wks where it was discovered I had a missed miscarriage) I only tested once with my son. So lines getting progressively lighter can alert you to decreasing HCG. But even increasingly darker tests can't guarantee a viable pregnancy. That's why I usually recommend testing once or twice and calling it good.

Depends on where you are in your pregnancy. Between 4-5 weeks they should get darker every few days for sure. After 5 weeks the hook effect can start coming into play so it’s hard to tell. I’ve been able to tell I was having early miscarriages because the lines weren’t getting darker fast enough or getting lighter before 6 weeks. 
But I finally have a healthy pregnancy and after 20 DPO they stopped getting darker. I had a scan yesterday at 7 weeks 3 days and all is well! Baby is exactly on schedule and there’s a healthy heartbeat.

My lines got lighter and lighter and it ended up as a chemical pregnancy. The next time I had darker lines that kept getting dark but still ended up as a chemical pregnancy. This time my lines got even darker and I’m almost 33 weeks pregnant.

My 1st pregnancy my lines got darker. I took 2-3 test. First two was faint and than 3rd test was very dark.
My 2nd I took 2-3 as well. First two was faint. 3rd was even lighter. Barely there. That pregnancy ended in a miscarriage.
My 3rd the same thing happened as my 1st pregnancy. And now I’m 30 weeks.
I’m not really sure if it really means anything or not honestly but that was my experience
