Had aswell done yesterday at 40 weeks apt

So I had a sweep done yesterday at my 40 week apt. Was so hopeful had the most intense contractions Iv had with this pregnancy and lasted through the night but slowly started to spread out 😩. Now today I’m feeling pressure but only light contractions. Have an apt Friday for an NST and they will schedule an induction. I really want to avoid the induction as my last one wasn’t the best experience. Has anyone had contractions slow down and then start up again? Or just randomly come on the next day? I need some hope 😭
