Long Distance Relationship?

Have you guys ever been in a long distance relationship ? I’ve been talking to this guy, we have met through mutual friends. He used to live an hour away . So far so good, we get along great. We haven’t actually met in person because he moved ￼a few months ago and he lives 6 hours away, but we talk and and snap each other pictures all the time. I think we both like each other so far, but we are a bit hesitant and confused by the distance . 6 hours is a long time and he drives , but I don’t. Idk if I should not really take him serious to avoid disappointment or just see where it goes for right now . Has any of you ever dealt with this ? What do you recommend ?

Yes. I met someone online via a video game. He lived in the UK 🇬🇧 n I was in California. It took me 24 hours (from door to door. 14 hours was just the plane ride) to go see him. Keep in mind we known each other for years prior to dating. Lol
Lots of communication n trust. The hardest part was seeing him after the first meeting and being back home. I missed him a lot. 
Some weeks were hard cuz we both be working. 
Fast forward 8 years. We live together, been married for over 5 years n im 32 weeks pregnant. 
Long distance can work out in the end. But it isn’t for everyone!

2 months after I started dating my boyfriend, he had to move back to his country for work. We stayed 8 months apart until he moved back. During this time we visited each other every couple months. It was very hard but we both made efforts and now 2 years of relationship and a year since he came back and it's going great! You both have to want it, it can work!

My husband and I were long distance (5h) for a year a few months into our relationship. I would take 2 trains and a bus to go see him once a month and we spoke every day on skype. 
It can work, but it takes a lot of effort and trust. Both parties must be willing to make that effort

I have before, never again, he cheated. Long distance is about effort and consistency and communication big time. And usually only works if someone relocates. At the same token you shouldn’t be the only one making the sacrifices and effort or losing sleep etc. it’s tolling and not easy. Especially if one person feels like the my are the only one making the effort and gets tired of it. 
It can work if both make the effort. My brother and his wife did. Been married 16 years. They met in New York on a work assignment. They were 16 hours apart and would meet 8 hours half way a couple times a month. When a position opened in New York she moved there for him and when his position after 3 years was done, he moved there for her, where her family was from and have lived there ever since the last 13 years. They made it work. 
It can work if both make the effort. It’s up to you.
