My husband and I invited his brother (+2 kids), his sister in law’s 2 brothers (+2 kids) to go on a haunted hayride with us and our one kid. We had planned to get to his brother’s house at 8 pm to meet up then head out from there. The place is 13 minutes away. My sister in law’s brother decided he wanted to meet up at 7 instead of 8 but we never agreed to that so we showed up at 8. Unfortunately the hayride (which closes at 10) was at capacity by the time we got there at 8:13. My husbands brother was in the back seat moaning and whining and sighing and sucking his teeth while we were trying to find somewhere else to bring the kids. My sister in law’s 1 brother sped off in the direction of an event in another town 30 minutes away that ends at 9 without even trying to discuss it with us. Spoiler alert they didn’t make it on time. So we, brother in law and sister in law’s other brother +3 of the 5 kids found another event to go to and the other brother tried to invite the brother who sped off with his two kids. I told him not to bother because he ditched us, then he defended his brother tooth and nail saying we were late and he’s right in being mad. Also for context the brother who sped off is in the middle of a divorce and competing every other weekend to do more stuff with the kids than his ex wife to try and prove something.

Meanwhile the kids were happy as clams and didn’t complain once the whole time. It was just these 35-40 year old dudes who couldn’t fucking cope. I am NEVER inviting them anywhere with us again!!!! I’ll take their kids but their miserable asses can stay home.

My pregnant ass is overrrrr grown adults and their inability to roll with the punches and figure shit out instead of pouting.
