Have you become pregnant after Tubal Ligation?

Let’s make a long story short…

I had my tubes clamped when I was 27 years old, after my 3rd delivery … I had lost 4 litres of blood due to placental abruption. It was not a good time for me as I had always wanted another or more children.

Recently I had an appendectomy and when the surgeon was inside he had pulled one of my clamps out. In doing so he explored so he can find out where the other was and if he could spot any scars on my Fallopian tubes… to his surprise he couldn’t find the other clamp and said he could not see any scars and had told me “be careful” for now.

This news hit me with… am I too old to have another? Along with a thank you Jesus for allowing me to carry another life into this world, my body must be able to handle it now! It’s been 5 weeks since my appendectomy and I’m waiting for my Dr to refer me to a specialist to find out for sure if I am in fact fertile or not.

I guess my question to everyone is, has this happened to any of you and have any of you wonderful ladies given birth after tubal ligation? Would love some insight!!
