Anyone else just sorta trying?
Always find these groups are full of people who are (mostly) dying to get pregnant for the first time or again.
And I'm over here like, eh.
Had my first in October 2019. Text book, perfect pregnancy. Didn't have a day of morning sickness. Worked until 39 weeks (had my son at 39wks and 4 days).
Delivery was a mess and due to all the complications, I'm now classified as extremely high risk if I get pregnant again. My midwife advised waiting at least a year to even think about trying again, but strongly advocated for a lot longer if I could.
I'm American and my husband is Indonesian. We live in New Zealand until just recently the borders were closed, so the idea of getting pregnant again was off the table because there was no one to help (we have no one) if something went wrong.
So here we are 3 years laters. I'm 38 next month, went off the pill in April but my periods didn't sort out until August. We gave it a bit of a go in August, a bit more of a go in September and we're to tired (both work full time, husband 2 jobs) to give a real try this month.😂
We want another one, but are just like eh, whatever.
Our families are giving us grief and our friends are making us feel like we're wrong for it. But I mean...if it happens, it happens. Not the end of the world.
We can't be the only ones who feel like this? Can we? Anyone else just enjoying the ride and whatever happens, happens.
