Drop in OPK

I had a positive yesterday afternoon and today has dropped back to negative. Is this normal or was it just a surge? I’ve read that positives should stay for around 24-48 hours so I’m a bit confused. Sorry I’m super new to understanding all this stuff. We’ve baby danced every other day since Friday including yesterday with the positive. Do I keep baby dancing or will the period have passed?
