Help me, Halloween costume dilemma

Hey everyone I need advice

My son is in preschool, and tomorrow they are dressing up for Halloween. The thing is, the child has to be able to be able to still use the bathroom independently with the costume

I’m so stupid, my sons costume is a jumpsuit. I thought the zipper went all the way down, but it actually doesnt, it zips down near the belly button. My son will be able to take it off, but not get it back on. And I think the whole thing will be really confusing for him

So of course, I realize this the day before Halloween.

I checked target and party city near me and all their toddler (he wears 4t) costumes are one piece jump suits. Plus he is being chase from paw patrol and he’s so excited to be chase so I don’t want to disappoint him ☹️.

I am thinking about cutting the costume, so the top he can wear and maybe safety pinning the bottom part to a pair of pants he already has? But I don’t have fabric scissors and I think I need those? And woild that look stupid?

Or cut the top off, and then get a pair of brown sweat pants? The only thing is I don’t know if I’ll be able to find sweatpants in the morning before school

I am so stressed out and wishing I didn’t wait until last minute. Total mom fail right now.

What should I do? Cut the costume and get separate pants? Safety pin the bottom of the pants to a pair of pants he already has? Any other suggestions???

This is his costume for reference lol

Edit-

Another option is maybe a leave the costume alone and come up with some other quick idea? I don’t want to ruin it. He can always wear it as it is and go trick or treating in it after school
